This tool is for planning and task managing for a team on desktop as well as mobile devices.
TeamViz is a planning and task tracking tool for your team. You would be able to use it on desktops as well as on mobile devices. It based on the GTD or the “getting things done” methodology. GTD is a methodology developed to take into account work-life management system by David Allen. The methodology helps manage stress and feeling of being overwhelmed and help create a work-life balance. A large part of the methodology involves reducing stress by enforcing some discipline. For example, it is very easy to be overwhelmed by emails. Largely due to trying to do things that are unfocused, unclear, and/or unnecessary. However, when you try to enforce some best practice standards, things become manageable. In case of email communication this could be things like communicating on purpose, while being respectful of others’ time and attention.
In addition, the application promotes the use of “pomodoro” technique of time management. This technique breaks down work periods to 25 minute chunks. After each such period, the person should take a 3 to 5 minutes break. Every four such work periods there should be an extended break of 15 to 30 minutes. The technique strives to reduce the impact of internal and external interruptions on focus and flow. A "pomodoro" or the work period is indivisible. The software lets you gather raw data on the effort expended and other metrics of interest. Completed pomodoros, discarded pomodoros, log unplanned, are recorded. You are then able to clearly estimate your productivity. There’s raw data available to tell you where things are not working when applicable. The six step process involves creating a named list, inputting the tasks, estimate, add to existing to-do list, add the timer tool, mark task for today and get started. The screen will close to avoid distraction and to let you focus on the task. This is a very good tool.
